Why you decided on me I’ll never know. We went from dirt holes and concrete, sleeping in a car, to beautiful apartments in nice neighborhoods. But we never had a real home. Home was just wherever we happened to be that night. You could’ve had some lawyer or doctor’s family with a big house and maybe more resources, but you didn’t, because I didn’t. Whoever you were, thank you. I was the lucky one.
